Abandoned mental hospital, Norway

I stopped by this old abandoned mental hospital on the way back from a climbing trip in Norway. It has a very dark history of experiments done by the
pharmaceutical industry, research with radio activity, tests with LSD, lobotomi with electrodes and more. Many of the patients did not come out alive.

I stopped by this old abandoned mental hospital on the way back from a climbing trip in Norway.

It was once a rather magestic building.

But it has long been abandoned and left to it's fate.

The decay is clearly visible on the exterior...

As well as the interior.

The staircases were creaky, but they held.

Considering the dark history of this place I'd guess there is a lot of anxiety buried in these walls...

I don't think it was a very charming place when it was active.

Plenty of wierd colors chosen for the paint...

But it's all peeling off now.

The doors where swaying and creaking in the wind.

The building is falling apart.

It will probably be torn down eventually.

I can't help but wonder about the people that have been moved around in this chair.

I think this place housed a lot of tormented souls... I hope they have found peace now.
